Any brouhaha over Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R) confusion over the “Bush Doctrine” during her ABC News interview is unwarranted, since ABC’s Charles Gibson defined it as the doctrine of preemption instead of as a policy of supporting democratic regimes, which is how President Bush himself described it, writes Carol Platt Liebau.
