Sen. Joe Biden’s (D-Del.) everyman appeal may lie in his frequent gaffes, which he has been making as Barack Obama’s running mate, writes Victor Davis Hanson. Since Obama chose him three weeks ago, Biden has suggested that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) would have been a better pick and that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is “good looking” and a lieutenant governor, notes Hanson.
