It’s impossible to have an informed electorate if politicians continue to lie to voters and ignore the factchecking of newspapers, which is what Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has been doing in touting her opposition to the so-called “Bridge to Nowhere,” according to Hunter. Despite reports of taxpayer rip-offs, sex and drug use at the Interior Department, officials there won’t be prosecuted because the Bush administration’s Justice Department and its “Rovian ideologues” won’t go after them, writes Meteor Blades.
