Liberal bloggers who were questioning whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) was really the mother of her newborn should have just made a phone call to the Anchorage newspaper, which actually did some investigating and had found the rumors to be false, writes Byron York. It would be a mistake not to allow President Bush and Vice President Cheney to fully addresse the Republican convention, since Bush is a proven winner in campaigns and Cheney could “tear the bark” off of the Democratic ticket, writes Jay Nordlinger.
