With Alaska Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell (R) locked in a tight race against Rep. Don Young (R) in their GOP primary, Matt Moon suggests that Parnell could have talked more about his own candidacy instead of relying on support from Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and on Young’s lack of popularity. Barack Obama’s campaign, by responding to an outside group’s ad linking him to Weather Underground bomber William Ayers, has elevated the issue, which won’t play well with the Virginia voters who are hearing about it, writes Soren Dayton.
