With little time between now and the convention to roll out his veep pick, Barack Obama will probably choose someone well known, such as Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) or Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), writes Nate Silver. If John McCain gets stuck with the elitist tag because of his many homes, there’s little chance the Republican will choose former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) as a running mate, since Romney is worth up to $250 million and owns several homes himself, writes Jonathan Cohn.
