Time’s report that John McCain has settled on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) as a running mate must have Republicans freaking out, since Romney’s wealth will only reinforce the latest narrative about McCain and his homes, writes kos. McCain is no longer pushing for the Republican platform to recognize exceptions for abortion in cases involving rape, incest or when the mother’s life is at risk, notes MissLaura, who finds the only thing consistent about McCain is his inconsistency.
