Barack Obama has moved toward John McCain’s harsher position toward Russia but has failed to apologize for attacks his campaign made on former Georgia lobbyist and current McCain adviser Randy Scheunemann, who was similarly criticized by Russian representatives, writes Erick Erickson. With the new liberal group Accountable America planning to confront Republican donors thinking about giving to Swift Vet-style groups, Pejman Yousefzadeh wonders whether Obama’s campaign will disapprove of this type of “goonish politicking” that it has condemned in the past.
