Barack Obama is trouncing John McCain among low-wage workers by a 2-to-1 margin in a new poll, notes Josh Marshall, who suggests that group would never back McCain. The Democrat even leads among white, low-wage workers by 10 percentage points, Marshall emphasizes. McCain’s tactic of calling out Obama for playing the race card seems to be working in polls, laments Marshall’s reader RY, who also notes that even “Mr. Blandly Bi-Partisan” David Gergen sees McCain using “code” to undermine Obama.
