Barack Obama, who should be leading John McCain by a more significant margin in polls, is making things more difficult for himself by not choosing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), writes Jerome Armstrong, who worries about Obama’s female support. Of Obama’s top choices, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine (D) should get the nod since Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) and Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) would conflict with Obama’s message of change, Armstrong adds. The recent Republican attacks on Obama show that he needs a fighter such as Clinton, Biden or retired Gen. Wesley Clark, not someone who is “colorless” like Bayh, according to Todd Beeton.
