John McCain shouldn’t be listening to his foreign policy adviser Randy Scheunemann, who was wrong to support Iraqi dissident Ahmad Chalabi before the Iraq invasion and to later push for the debaathification policy that led to increased civil tensions after the invasion, writes Josh Marshall. Robert Novak, diagnosed last weekend with a brain tumor, caught much grief for hitting a pedestrian last week and then saying he didn’t see him, but Novak’s story is plausible since those with brain tumors can suffer from visual and spatial neglect, writes Marshall.
