If John McCain really wants use his running mate to upstage Barack Obama during his foreign trip, McCain should choose someone who is exciting, such as a minority, independent, an independent-Democrat or former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R), writes Mark Klimer. Congressional Republicans should make ads pointing out that the Democrats cut Medicare benefits for the elderly by voting last week for a bill that increases the money for doctors’ payments, writes Pejman Yousefzadeh.
