John McCain has attended fewer Senate committee hearings on Afghanistan in the past two years than Barack Obama, who has attended just one, according to the front page of the Post. Linking to ABC News’s report, the Post notes that McCain has not attended any hearings on Afghanistan held by the Senate Armed Services Committee, where McCain is the top Republican, or its subcommittees, even though he has criticized Obama for his record. McCain would be an even less serious and dignified commander-in-chief than President Bush, as the senator has shown a habit for telling inappropriate, unfunny jokes, writes Bob Cesca. McCain has tried to make funnies about Chelsea Clinton looks, the rape and beating of a woman by an ape, and the killing of Iranians through smoking, Cesca notes.
