Barack Obama’s campaign finds “tasteless and offensive” The New Yorker cover featuring a cartoon depicting him in Muslim dress and his wife as a soldier. The New Yorker artist Barry Blitt told the Post that the cartoon was aimed at depicting the “ridiculousness” of the fear-mongering over Obama. In the blog, Jared Bernstein writes that taxpayers are about to pay for the Federal Reserve Bank’s policy of waiting on the sidelines during financial bubbles.
