U.S. immigration agents deserve more respect from Barack Obama, who suggested that babies are torn from their mothers during immigration raids, according to Carol Platt Liebau, who points out a Boston Globe story that shows Obama is wrong. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) acted irresponsibly when he released a letter questioning the viability of IndyMac that led to a run on the bank and the eventual need for the federal government to take it over, Liebau writes.
