Rev. Jesse Jackson’s “whisper in Chicago” about castrating Barack Obama for “talking down to black people” leads the Drudge Report. Jackson has apologized, and Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly, who first played video of the crude remark, said that he had more damaging material he could have aired, Drudge notes. In other links, Obama told a crowd that while immigrants should learn English, American children should be able to speak Spanish. John McCain, meanwhile, told a Hispanic-American group of his commitment to comprehensive immigration reform.
