Barack Obama isn’t moving to the center as some pundits proclaim when it comes to faith-based initiatives, since pushing for more government support for those programs leads to bigger government, suggests Matt Lewis. Obama is confusing people by backing away Tuesday from an apparent rejection of retired Gen. Wesley Clark’s remark questioning the relevance of John McCain’s military service, Lewis writes.
