Barack Obama was smart to write a personal check for $4,600 to help pay off Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign debt, and Clinton has wisely said that she won’t seek help in paying off the $12 million she personally loaned to her campaign, writes Todd Beeton. Obama’s campaign is saying it will fight for Alaska by treating it like a caucus state and putting resources into it, pleasing Beeton who thinks that Obama could take the traditionally Republican state.
