By drawing on their army of volunteers in red states like Texas, Barack Obama’s campaign is preparing him to become only the second Democrat ever to win at least 50.1 percent of the popular vote, writes kos. To try to move the dozens of bills that Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) is currently blocking, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is thinking about lumping the bills together into a “Coburn Omnibus” that Coburn wouldn’t dare block, writes Kagro X, who finds the idea “terrific.”
