After national and Georgia polls showed Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr possibly hurting John McCain, Barack Obama’s own campaign manager, David Plouffe, said Wednesday that Barr could help Obama in Alaska and Georgia, notes Josh Orton. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) could return with a bang in her first week back in the Senate by opposing the overhaul of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), just like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), and Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) and Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) have done, Orton writes.
