While the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) overhaul won’t empower the FISA court and weaken the president’s authority as much as pundits think, the president may never again get telecom companies to assist warrantless wiretapping because of new pressure from the left felt by the companies, writes Andy McCarthy.
