“Pro-amnesty” Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Utah) got his comeuppance Tuesday by losing a GOP primary to Jason Chaffetz, an immigration hawk who had raised a fraction of the money Cannon had raised, notes Mark Krikorian. The Justice Department inspector general’s report that the department was biased toward conservatives when hiring young lawyers was an injustice, but only because the bias lasted for only two years, writes Kathryn Jean Lopez.
