A new report by the Justice Department’s inspector general shows that the department has politicized “absolutely everything,” including its programs for new lawyers, writes smintheus. According to the report, two Bush Attorneys General, John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzales, had the hiring committees go to great lengths to exclude liberal applicants, the blogger notes. Democrats should target the seat held by Rep. John Shadegg (R-Ariz.), who recently suggested that everyone in the country has healthcare coverage, writes kos.
