The banner headline “Historic” is at the top of Wednesday morning’s Post, which runs a photo of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama looking up at his Tuesday rally in Minnesota. The general election, however, will be no “cakewalk” for Obama, as he needs to unify Democrats and fend off Republicans ready to demonize him, writes Tom Edsall. In the blog, Jason Linkins tells Obama supporters that they don’t really need to ask Clinton supporters to “join” them, as no one needs to ask a group to “join” a cause — the Democratic party, in this case — that they never really abandoned.
