The Plank
Though Hillary Clinton said she has “dominated” the presidential primary since Feb. 20, she has fallen further behind Barack Obama in the delegate count since then, notes Christopher Orr. If that’s “dominating,” Barack Obama’s winning streak in early and mid-February, when he put the nomination effectively out of reach, deserves a new word, Orr writes. The differences in demographics among Clinton and Obama supporters may be a function of the fact that both candidates are similar ideologically, writes Josh Patashnik. But what’s disconcerting to Patashnik is the rancor between two candidates from the same party who generally want to accomplish the same things.
