In the race to succeed retiring Rep. John Doolittle (R-Calif.), Democrat Charlie Brown leads his potential Republican opponents, according to a new poll cited by dday. Candidates Doug Ose and Tom McClintock have already spent $4 million on what they believe is the crucial race – the GOP primary. But that may not be the case this year as many voters in the district view themselves as Democrats as those who see themselves as Republicans, dday notes.
