Clinton, upset at Purdum’s story exploring his personal life and the media coverage of his wife’s campaign, also suggested that Obama “gets other people to slime” Hillary Clinton, Flower reports. There should be no need for “after-the-fact books” about how journalists “enabled” McCain to win the presidency with “a phony reputation as a maverick,” Huffington writes.
