Power Line
The new book by Douglas Feith, the former Pentagon official and Iraq war architect, is more useful than former White House press secretary Scott McClellan’s, since Feith’s has actual accounts of the White House debate over the the war, Paul Mirengoff writes. While McClellan writes that there wasn’t enough debate before the invasion, Feith shows that the debate became heated at times, according to Mirengoff. Barack Obama’s commencement speech calling on graduates to go into public service is a “cliche of elite opinion” that should be challenged, Scott Johnson writes. Obama, by placing non-profit work above working for a profit-making company, shows that he’s more interested in creating big-government liberals instead of creating wealth, according to Johnson.
