Democrats have a 40 percent chance of winning a 57-seat majority in the Senate, and a 10 percent chance of gaining a filibuster-proof 60 seats, according to a must-read Senate race analysis by Sean Oxendine. The only seat Democrats have to defend is Sen. Mary Landrieu’s in Louisiana, where black voter should help her, while Republicans will have competitive races in Colorado, Kentucky, Mississippi and North Carolina, Oxendine writes.
