Pundits shouldn’t portray the contents of former White House press secretary Scott McClellan’s book as “revelations,” as the liberal bloggers her have viewed the Bush administration and reporters covering it with skepticism for years. Darksyde reminds readers that “traditional media” (aside from the New York Times’ David Barstow) have done little to cover the Pentagon’s propaganda program that helped sell the war. And Tucker Carlson is wrong to first find John McCain’s preemptive war rationale for the Iraq invasion “defensible” and then find “borderline ludicrous” the Bush administration’s “theoretical” nation-building rationale, which Carlson reads about in McClellan’s book, Kagro X notes.
