Scott McClellan “believed” in President Bush as the Iraq war started, notes Drudge in its main headline. McClellan also said that he didn’t believe administration officials lied about the war, but that they got wrapped up in selling it and ignored intelligence that didn’t fit in with their views, according to the Associated Press story of McClellan’s appearance on the “Today” show Thursday. Drudge has a slew of McClellan-related news at the top of his page, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) statement that she “totally agrees” with McClellan, the White House’s negative reaction to his book and Barack Obama’s response that McClellan confirms what many had thought about the Bush administration for a long time.
