Democrats have been “touchy” reacting to President Bush’s speech in Israel by interpreting some passages as attacks against Barack Obama, writes Kathryn Jean Lopez. She finds “laughable” the idea that Bush’s trip to Israel was just political and the White House and John McCain’s campaign are coordinating to broaden the impact against Obama. Voters should also see through Obama’s talk of being a “new politician,” writes Mark Levin, who notes that he didn’t take long to bring out the “scare tactic” of warning seniors that McCain supports privatization of Social Security.
