Barack Obama should pick Al Gore as his running mate, writes DHinMI. Gore would undoubtedly be ready to fill in as president on day one, and by accepting, he would get another chance to exercise huge influence over the country, the blogger writes. While John McCain is in trouble, his party is in even worse shape, writes brownsox. The blogger, looking back at last week’s special election loss for the House GOP, writes that the Republican dream of a permanent majority is dead because the party has trouble reaching middle-class voters and shuns wise strategists like Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.) for those more reliably “conservative.”
