Barack Obama did not call Israel “a constant sore” as House Republicans allege, writes Allahpundit. The conservative blogger, wanting to be fair, notes that Obama clearly was referring to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a conclusion shared by conservative pundits at the National Review and the Weekly Standard. Obama defends his positions on Israel by noting close ties to Jews in Chicago. But if he relies in his ties in this context, he should be held to account for his relationships to controversial figures Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Weather Underground member William Ayers, according to Ed Morrissey.
