The Corner
Before Barack Obama criticized John McCain’s remark pointing out a Hamas political adviser’s support the Democrat’s election, a top Obama aide took less umbrage at Hamas’s statement, writes Andy McCarthy. Campaign strategist David Axlerod found Hamas’s comparison of Obama to John Kennedy “flattering,” McCarthy notes. The blogger writes that Obama must believe that the Hamas statement is only a smear if McCain says it. Victor Davis Hanson finds Hamas’s reference to Kennedy as “a great man with great principle” strange since it was a Palestinian who killed Kennedy’s brother.
