The conventional wisdom for Tuesday’s primaries predicts a 3-to-6 point win for Hillary Clinton in Indiana and a 6-to-10 point win for Barack Obama in North Carolina, according to Isaac Chotiner, who spent much of Monday watching cable news. He cautions that how the actual results are portrayed in the media depends on the exit polls, which had showed Obama closer than expected in Pennsylvania and thus contributed to the feeling of disappointment over his nine point loss there. Zvika Krieger visits Arizona and finds that John McCain’s constituents aren’t enamored with him. Kreiger writes that callers to a talk radio show were largely disappointed with his responsiveness to their concerns. The talk show host wondering aloud to Krieger whether McCain has just been “pandering” to his Washington constituency.
