The conservative bloggers defend John McCain against attacks from the New York Times and a self-proclaimed Baptist minister. The Times is “flailing” in its editorial calling for McCain to disclose his health records, as the paper’s editorial writers had once endorsed McCain during the GOP primaries but now raise concerns about his age and vitality, according to Paul Mirengoff. Scott Johnson investigates a man named Marty Parrish who claimed to be a minister when he asked McCain about a slur he allegedly used against his wife. Parrish, however, is a supporter of Barack Obama, once backed Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) and isn’t known by his church to be a minister, Johnson finds.
