One of Kathryn Jean Lopez‘s readers looks at McCain’s dwindling approval ratings, alongside voters dropping confidence in the economy, and sees a connection. Victor Davis Hanson determines that the Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy is not the fault of “the right-wing freak show”, but lays the blame with Obama, who didn’t know when to quit talking about race and his Wright connection, and his supporters who defend some of Wright’s comments.
