Barack Obama’s pastor problem isn’t going away yet, write the conservative bloggers. Michael Medved says Obama would benefit from a direct attack from Rev. Jeremiah Wright and “race-baiting radicals and extremists.” If that happened, Obama could reassert his position as a “post-racial unifier” who “stood up to hate-mongers,” says Medved. Wright would damage the campaign and show he’s enraged with Obama by just staying silent, Medved adds. Hugh Hewitt writes that Obama’s remarks don’t invalidate questions about his judgment, as Obama was the one to decide to attend Wright’s church in the first place. He asks whether Obama was “naive” or “disingenuous” when he said Tuesday that he might have not known the real Pastor Wright.
