John Hinderaker questions how far apart Barack Obama really is from Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He notes that while Obama singles out Wright for bypassing the common ground the Illinois senator has campaigned on, Obama’s books include a sermon by Wright with a statement about how “white folks’ greed runs a world in need.” Turning to the Senate race in Minnesota, Scott Johnson notes a report that Democrat Al Franken owes $70,000 in back taxes in 17 states. That, plus news of his failure to pay worker’s compensation as an employer in New York and to file California tax returns may be the reason Franken has avoided the press recently, Johnson writes.
