The liberal bloggers look at a surprising statement from Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democrats’ hopes of picking up a House seat in Nevada. DHinMI writes that even Terry McAuliffe, one of Clinton’s most vocal advisers, is talking about June 15 as a deadline for uncommitted superdelegates to decide. McAuliffe’s statement is at odds with the campaign’s previous rhetoric, which left open the possibility of fighting to the convention, the blogger writes. While North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley (D) just endorsed Clinton Monday, McAuliffe’s candidate will still need much more help — almost 70 percent of the remaining superdelegates — to get the nomination. brownsox writes that though the first Democrat tapped to take on Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.) has dropped out, the decision by former gubernatorial candidate Dina Titus to step in keeps Democratic hopes alive. With the presidential election this year, the blogger likes Democrats’ chances in the swing district.
