The Blogfather makes the electability case against Barack Obama, while Jonathan Singer argues that John McCain is going to have problems with female voters. Jerome Armstrong worries that Obama is the next George McGovern, the failed candidate whose base consisted of the young and minorities. Clinton, meanwhile, seems to do well in polls against McCain in Florida and Ohio, where Obama does not, making her electoral map stronger than Obama’s, Armstrong suggests. Singer notes that McCain opposed a fair pay bill that stalled in the Senate Wednesday and could have helped women close the pay gap with their male co-workers.
