The Daily Dish
Andrew Sullivan is despondent over the results of the Pennsylvania primary. He calls Hillary Clinton’s victory “the worst of all worlds” for the Democrats, since it gives Clinton the “tiniest sliver of an argument to stay in.” He writes that Clinton has “total shamelessness” and is sustained by a “deep, deep sense of entitlement and absolute refusal to let the next generation take over.” Sullivan later argues that Clinton adopted the tactics of Republican operatives Karl Rove and Lee Atwater in “smearing and labeling Obama as a far-left, atheist, elite, pansy Godless snob fraud.” But he tries to sound a more positive note, writing that it’s “heartening” that younger voters did not vote for Clinton.
