The conservatives bloggers look ahead to a general election between John McCain and Barack Obama. Ed Morrissey, after reading the Washington Post’s story about McCain’s temper, argues that it is a legitimate issue that deserves scrutiny. McCain, however, can keep it out of the news by avoiding flare ups and by letting Obama stumble, Morrissey writes. Morrissey also posts the response to the story by McCain aide Mark Salter, who calls “99 percent” of the story “fiction.” Allahpundit looks at the Democratic race and posts a video that mocks Hillary Clinton’s chances of winning. The video suggests that Clinton still has a path to victory — one that involves time travel and rescinding the Louisiana Purchase.
