The liberal blog, which has avoided taking sides between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, finds the debate to be “tabloid hour.” Todd Beeton felt the need to shower after the debate. He concludes that Obama seemed to get the bulk of the “more disgusting questions,” but did get to plead his case for a new politics. Clinton, however, was “stronger” during the last portion, which focused more on policy, according to Beeton. Amidst the debate, “bittergate,” and other Pennsylvania primary goings on, Beeton tries to call attention to the news last week that top Bush administration officials had approved harsh interrogations of terror detainees. As a result of that revelation, a few liberal bloggers are now calling for Condoleezza Rice’s ouster as secretary of state, Beeton writes.
