Marc Ambinder
Looking at the latest in the presidential race, Ambinder has a bit of policy and a bit of politics. Ambinder previews Sen. Joe Biden’s (D-Del.) speech on foreign policy scheduled for Wednesday in which Biden links John McCain to the policies of the Bush administration. Ambinder finds it to be “an audition of sorts” or “a template” that the Democratic presidential candidate can use in the fall. Ambinder also sees little excuse for Rep. Geoff Davis’s (R-Ky.) reference of Barack Obama as “boy.” Ambinder writes that a white person calling a black man “boy,” not unlike “‘Mammy, ‘Uncle,’ and other terms of ‘endearment,’ is “generally seen as racist no matter where you are.”
