The National Review bloggers pooh-pooh senators’ performances in Tuesday’s Iraq hearings. Michael Ledeen writes that not one senator asked about Iranian support for terrorist groups in Iraq. Iranian influence is “the main question,” writes Ledeen, if one is to look at the war as a regional conflict. Peter Wehner is reminded of Sen. Joe Biden’s (D-Del.) failed presidential campaigns by Biden’s attempts to “bully” Gen. David Petraeus and Amb. Ryan Crocker into talking about troop withdrawals.
