Joe Sudbay criticizes President Bush and McCain for their optimism over the Battle of Basra. Sudbay notes that while Time magazine has written that Moqtada al-Sadr won in Basra, Bush called the battle “a defining moment” and McCain said al-Sadr’s influence has been “on the wane for a long time.” Bush and McCain are both “McSame” and both “McClueless,” Sudbay suggests.
