Power Line
John Mirengoff takes aim at two usual targets, Clinton and House Democrats, while praising another, the New York Times. Mirengoff wonders whether Clinton or Obama would be a worse president after noting an account by Clinton’s former House Judiciary Committee boss claiming that she was “fired for lies” from her job as an aide during the Watergate hearings. Mirengoff argues that House Democrats’ criticism of oil executives in relation to high gas prices is “fundamentally stupid” and goes against their stated goals of bringing prices down and taking strong measures to combat global warming. Mirengoff gives credit to the Times for its report on Hamas sermons “preaching violence and hatred,” saying that it “pulls no punches.”
