Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, will appear on CBS’s “60 Minutes” on Sunday, days after the vice president he would not launch a 2016 White House bid, according to the network.
{mosads}The vice president will discuss his decision, announced on Wednesday, that his window had closed for jumping into the 2016 race to challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination.
The interview with be Biden’s first since announcing his decision, something he publicly mulled for months.
Biden emphasized Wednesday that he planned to remain engaged in the presidential race, where his exit has strengthened Clinton’s position as the Democratic favorite.
The former secretary of State appeared Thursday before the House panel investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, before attending a Democratic forum and campaign rally on Friday.
CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell will conduct the interview with the Bidens on Saturday at the vice president’s home. It will be broadcast the following evening.
